Carly and Jason Burton

“In 1997 I was lucky enough to marry the love of my life, Carly. It was such a happy day. Little did we know then what challenges the next twenty years had in store for us.

The next twelve years flew by – our life together was everything we had hoped it would be. Then things changed. One evening whilst out together Carly lost the vision in one of her eyes. It was that quick! Two weeks later she fell at work seemingly for no reason.

“By leaving a gift to MS in my Will, I feel comforted to know that others like Carly will be supported in their time of need, well into the future.”

At just 35, following several tests, she received a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Six months later my beautiful soul mate had to give up her job. I remember vividly, silently wondering what the future had in store for us. But I needn’t have worried.

MS has been there for us both, every step of the way, since that very confronting day. From the many programs and services available to the never-ending support from the wonderful people who provide them. We consider ourselves very lucky and I can honestly say that I don’t know what we would have done without this support.

We still don’t know what the future has in store, but we do know we are not alone and are able to face it with confidence.

To be able to give something back is a great feeling. By leaving a gift to MS in my Will, I feel comforted to know that others like Carly will be supported in their time of need, well into the future.”
